Potensi Ekstrak Daun Eucalyptus pellita sebagai Bioherbisida Pratumbuh untuk Pengendalian Gulma

Abstract

Aplikasi bioherbisida merupakan salah satu alternatif untuk mengurangi risiko pencemaran lingkungan akibat penggunaan herbisida sintetis.  Tanaman Eucalyptus pellita mengandung zat alelokimia yang berpotensi sebagai bioherbisida. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui potensi ekstrak daun E. pellita sebagai bioherbisida pratumbuh untuk pengendalian gulma dalam percobaan di rumah kaca. Percobaan disusun menggunakan rancangan acak kelompok dengan empat ulangan. Perlakuan terdiri dari tujuh konsentrasi ekstrak daun, yaitu 0 (kontrol), 50, 100, 150, 200, 300, dan 400 g L-1. Unit percobaan berupa pot berdiameter 15 cm dan tinggi 20 cm. Gulma yang menjadi target adalah Asystasia gangetica, Borreria alata, Eleusine indica, dan Cyperus brevifolius. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa ekstrak daun E. pellita menekan perkecambahan benih gulma target dalam percobaan rumah kaca. Ekstrak daun E. pellita pada 200 g L-1 hingga 400 g L-1 menekan pertumbuhan plumula dan radikula gulma target dalam percobaan rumah kaca. Ekstrak tidak mempengaruhi perkecambahan C. brevifolius.
