Peer Review Process

Jurnal Ilmu Pertanian Indonesia (JIPI) applies a double-blind peer-review system to ensure fairness, objectivity, confidentiality, and academic integrity. Submitted manuscripts are independently assessed for their scientific quality, originality, relevance, methodological rigor, and validity.

Following the initial editorial screening, each eligible manuscript is assigned to two independent reviewers with relevant expertise. Reviewers are generally given two to four weeks to provide constructive comments and recommendations, including acceptance, minor revision, major revision, or rejection.

The Editorial Board evaluates the reviewers’ reports and determines the editorial decision. Conflicting recommendations may require assessment by a third reviewer, while manuscripts receiving two rejection recommendations are normally declined.

Authors invited to revise must submit a revised manuscript and a point-by-point response to the reviewers’ comments. Minor revisions may be assessed directly by the Editorial Board, whereas major revisions are generally returned to the original reviewers for re-evaluation. The final decision rests with the Editor-in-Chief and the Editorial Board.
