About the Journal

Focus and Scope

The Journal of Tropical Fisheries Management is managed by the Department of Water Resource Management, Faculty of Fisheries and Marine Sciences, Bogor Agricultural University aims to publish the results of basic, applied research in the scope of fisheries resources, fish stock studies, and population dynamics, fish biodiversity, fisheries technology, industrialization and fish trade, fisheries management, and fisheries development policies in the tropics, especially Indonesia. The scope of area includes:

  • Marine Fisheries
  • Coastal Fisheries
  • Inland Fisheries

The focus and scope of this publication are expected to contribute thoughts for the government to strengthen the science of fisheries management.

Peer Review Process

Journal of Tropical Fisheries Management implements Double-blind Peer Review Process. Editor in Chief will assign the manuscript to a corresponding section editor for further handling. The section editor will request at least two scientists to review the manuscript. Based on the comments from the reviewers, Section Editor, and Editor in Chief will decide on the manuscript.

Open Access Policy

This journal provides immediate open access to its content on the principle that making research freely available to the public supports a greater global exchange of knowledge.

Journal History

This journal was initiated by the Department of Aquatic Resources Management, Faculty of Fisheries and Marine Sciences, Bogor Agricultural University. Get the ISSN number printed 2598-8603 and e-ISSN 2614-8641 on November 20, 2017. This journal is published twice a year in June and December every year.
