Abstract

Fraktur pada tibia dan fibula di kucing biasanya terjadi akibat trauma. Evaluasi fraktur yang tepat harus dilakukan untuk menentukan tindakan yang sesuai. Kucing Virgo didiagnosa mengalami fraktur comminuted reducible pada tibia dan fraktur short oblique akibat tertabrak mobil setelah dilakukannya diagnosa penunjang berupa hematologi dan radiografi. Hasil dari planning yang dilakukan adalah pemasangan implan berupa bone plate dan intramedullary pin untuk mengurangi gaya bending dan rotation pada tulang. Operasi yang dilakukan merupakan operasi reduksi terbuka. Pengobatan pasca operasi juga sangat penting. Pengobatan terdiri dari pemberian antibiotik, analgesik, antifibrinolitik, dan fisioterapi.
