Sweet corn cultivation on marginal land is suboptimal due to the low organic matter in the soil. Organic fertilizers application is one alternative for increasing agricultural productivity in this area for a sustainable and environmentally friendly agriculture. The study aimed to determine the effect of organic fertilizer and get the best organic fertilizer in increasing the growth and production of sweet corn. The research has been carried out at the experimental garden of the Faculty of Agriculture, University of Riau Pekanbaru, from October 2020 to January 2021. The experiment used a complete randomized design (RAL) consisting of 3 treatments (P1= chicken manure, P2= Empty fruit bunch (EFB) of oil palm compost Plus (containing cellulotic bacteria), and P3= Mucuna bracteata green manure), repeated 6 times resulting in 18 experimental units. Parameters observed included plant height, stem diameter, leaf length, leaf width, male flower emergence time, female flower emergence time, harvest age, weight of cob without cob and production of the plot. Data were analyzed by using ANOVA, if the treatment have a significant effect, data analysis followed by Duncan New Multiple Range Test (DNMRT) at 5% of significance level . The results showed that the application of chicken manure and TKKS plus compost increased stem diameter, leaf length, harvest age, cob weight, and dehusked cob compared to Mucuna bracteata green manure. The application of various types of organic fertilizers increased sweet corn dehusked cob weight (averagely 351.29 g) exceeds the potential yield of variety description (325 g).
