Abstract

Organic fertilizers are able to provide daily nutrients for plants and are also able to improve the physical, chemical, and biological properties of the soil. This study aimed to determine the effect of chicken manure and Plant Growth Promoting Rhizosphere (PGPR) on the growth, yield, and yield quality of Pagoda mustard. This research was conducted in September-October 2021 at the Experimental Garden, Universitas Perjuangan Tasikmalaya. The design used was a factorial randomized block design with 12 treatments and 3 replications. The results showed that the application of chicken manure had a significant effect on the parameters of the number of leaves, wet weight of roots and shoots, dry weight of shoots, and shelf life. Treatment of 90 g polybag-1 chicken manure has given good results for the growth and yield of Pagoda mustard, with an increase in wet weight of 62.36% from no fertilization. PGPR had a significant effect on the number of leaves and canopy wet weight parameters. The interaction treatment of 90 g polybag-1 chicken manure + 10 mL L-1 PGPR gave the optimal results on the parameters of plant height, leaf color, and plant circumference, while the treatment of 180 g polybag-1 chicken manure + 15 mL L-1 PGPR gave the optimal results on weight loss parameters.
