This study aims to determine the condition of mangrove ecosystem in Pesisir Selatan Purworejo. The study conducted from March to April in three villages located in Purwodadi District, Purworejo Regency, Central Java. The method used for data collection is the Transect Line Plot method. The observations found 3 types of mangroves, which were found at the location, namely: Rhizophora mucronata, Sonneratia alba and Avicennia alba, there are also mangroves Acanthus ilicifolius, and Nypa fruticans, also known to be the highest mangrove density at station III 9900 Ind / Ha, Sonneratia alba species cover 50.48, the highest frequency was in the mangrove species Sonneratia alba and Rhizophora mucronata. The index of importance for the tree, sapling, and seedling levels were the tree level of Sonneratia alba 215, sapling level of Sonneratia alba 142, and seedlings for Rhizophora mucronata and Sonneratia alba 100.
