KOMPOSISI DAN PRODUKSI HASIL TANGKAPAN DI PELABUHAN PERIKANAN PANTAI LARANGAN, KABUPATEN TEGAL
Abstract
The Larangan Coastal Fisheries Port is a center of capture fisheries activities in Tegal Regency, dominated by small-scale fishermen. The main fishing gear utilized in the Larangan fishery port includes mini purse seines and seine nets. Improper management of these fishing methods can lead to a decline in fish stocks and disruption of the marine ecosystem. Productivity calculations were carried out to determine the production capacity of fishing boats by comparing the number of production with the duration of fishing operations. This study aims to analyze the economic value derived from the number of catches, as well as the composition of the main catch and bycatch. The results of this study are expected to provide deeper insights into the operational efficiency of mini purse seine and seine net fishing gear. Based on the results of the study, there are five main species of catch: Commerson’s anchovies (Stolephorus commersonnii), Indian anchovies (Stolephorus indicus), fringescale sardinella (Sardinella fimbriata), mackerel (Rastrelliger sp.), and ponyfish (Leiognathidae). Additionally, seven bycatch species were identified: tank goby (Glossogobius giuris), Asiatic glassfish (Ambassis naula), rainbow sardine (Dussumieria acuta), squid (Loligo sp.), shrimp (Metapenaeus monoceros), wolf-herring (Chirocentrus dorab), and largehead hairtail (Trichiurus lepturus). The highest production value of catches landed at PPP Larangan occurred in 2022, with a value of IDR 19,665,602,500, while the lowest production value in 2019 was IDR 10,355,377,500.
