KAJIAN VALUASI JASA EKOSISTEM MANGROVE DESA CITEUREUP, KABUPATEN PANDEGLANG
Abstract
The coastal and marine areas of Banten Bay are unique ecosystems that hold various potentials and problems in the utilization of natural resources as well as, the role of mangrove forests become important to mitigate and control the various problems identified in the coastal and marine areas of the Banten Province. This study aims to estimate how much economic value will be lost from contact activities within the coastal areas in the research location. This valuation could provide an overview of the current health of the ecosystem and become the basis for mangrove management in the future. The research method used was the economic valuation method to provide an overview of the current condition of ecosystem health and to become the basis for future mangrove management strategies in the Citeureup Village, Panimbang District, Pandeglang Regency, Banten Province. The analytical method used in this study included the economic valuation of mangrove forests, fisheries productivity, and the economic value of coastal lands. The results showed that the Total Economic Value (TEV) of the Citeureup Village was IDR 20,290,350,289 per year with a total study area of 3 ha of mangroves. The Citeureup Village community had utilized the mangrove forests for food sources, coastal protection, and support the recreation sector.
