FAKTOR-FAKTOR YANG MEMPENGARUHI TINGKAT KESEJAHTERAAN NELAYAN KECIL DI PPN PEKALONGAN
Abstract
Small fishermen (artisanal) are a group of fishermen who are socially and economically vulnerable, with a low level of welfare, one of which is seen from the ownership of goods and fulfillment of daily needs level. One of the indicators to assess the level of walfare is the 2015 BPS indicator. This study was purposed to determine the factors that affect the level of welfare of small fishermen in Pekalongan NFP. The research method used is descriptive quantitative. Respondents were taken based on purposive sampling, the criteria of respondents is small fishermen with ship ownership below 10 GT, which got the number of respondents as much 159 people. By using multiple linear regression, the factors that affect fishermen’s welfare (Y) include: X1 (income level), X2 (household expenses), X3 (housing condition), X4 (residential facilities), X5 (family health), X6 (easiness to get health services), X7 (easiness in getting access of children education), and X8 (easiness to get transportation services). The results obtained only 4 factors that significantly affect the level of fishermen’s welfare, including residence, health of family members, easiness to enroll their children to educational institution, and easiness of getting transportation services where the relation of the influence is all positive except easiness of getting transportation services factor. With the highest influence is on the residential facilities, so that the recondition of residential facilities for small fishermen will improve their welfare.
