Kajian Kelembaban Tanah dan Kebutuhan Air Beberapa Varietas Hibrida DR UNPAD
Abstract
Abstract
This research aimed for examining the effect of soil moisture toward the amount and efficiency of water application of hybrid maize DR Unpad. This research was conducted in the greenhouse located in Faculty of Agriculture Padjadjaran University, which is situated at about 801 meters above mean sea level. The research method was using the experimental method of Split Plot Design with three replicates. The first factor was the hybrid corn varieties, i.e.: DR-A, DR-B, DR-F, and BISI-2. The second factor was
the arrangement of soil moisture, i.e.: 100% field capacity, 90% field capacity, and 80% field capacity.The results showed that there was no interaction between the treatment of maize varieties and soil moisture.
On soil moisture maintained at 90% field capacity, the plants has the highest water requiremenst is 345.45 mm/season.It has showed the best plant growth, the yield and water-use efficiency at the highest level at
1.83 g/L. Plants that showed the highest water requirement, the best in growth and yield, in a row are hybrid corn BISI-2, DR-F, DR-A, and DR-B.

Abstrak
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui tingkat kelembaban tanah terbaik terhadap jumlah kebutuhan dan efisiensi penggunaan air tanaman jagung hibrida DR Unpad. Penelitian dilakukan di rumah kaca Kebun
Penelitian Fakultas Pertanian Universitas Padjadjaran memiliki ketinggian ± 801 meter di atas permukaan laut. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode eksperimen dengan menggunakan Rancangan Petak Terbagi (Split Plot Design) dengan tiga kali ulangan. Faktor pertama adalah varietas jagung hibrida, yang terdiri dari 4 taraf, yaitu: DR-A, DR-B, DR-F, dan BISI-2. Faktor kedua adalah pengaturan kelembaban
tanah, yang terdiri dari 3 taraf, yaitu: kelembaban tanah 100 % kapasitas lapang (KL), 90 % KL, dan 80 % KL. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa antara perlakuan varietas jagung dan kelembaban tanah ternyata tidak
terjadi interaksi. Pada kelembaban tanah dipertahankan 90 % kapasitas lapang, tanaman membutuhkan air paling tinggi, yaitu 345.45 mm/musim dan memperlihatkan pertumbuhan dan hasil tanaman paling baik, serta efisiensi penggunaan air paling tinggi yaitu 1.83 g/L. Tanaman yang menunjukkan kebutuhan air tertinggi, y pertumbuhan dan hasil yang terbaik dalam, berturut-turut adalah jagung hibrida BISI-2, DR-F,
DR-A, dan DR-B.
