Several studied showed that gastropod class potential used in pharmaceutical and nutraceuticals field. This study aims to determine chemical properties and investigate antidiabetic activity of Balelo snails. this study divided in to 3 step amely first, chemical characterization of balelo snails (amino acid, fatty acid, mineral and metal composition. Second, extraction process using methanol, etyl acetat, and n-hexan, and the third, determine anti diabetic activity. The highest essential amino acid of balelo snails was leucine (2.7%) and non essential was glutamic acid (4.22%). Fresh balelo contained 19.20% of fatty acid, 90.60 mg/kg of iron minerals (Fe). Analyze the activity of a- glucosidase inhibition showed that extract balelo snails in methanol, etyl acetate and n hexane did not potential as anti diabetic.</p>}, number={3}, journal={Jurnal Pengolahan Hasil Perikanan Indonesia}, author={Nurhikma, Nurhikma and Riviani, Riviani and WulandariDiah Anggraini and Mirsa, Mirsa}, year={2022}, month={Dec.}, pages={504-511} }
