The use of resistance varieties is one of environmentally friendly efforts to control Thrips parvispinus on Chrysanthemum. The research aimed to determine the resistance of some Indonesian Ornamental Crop Research Institute (IOCRI) mutant Chrysanthemum genotype against T. parvispinus. The research was carried out in the protected house on Segunung Research Station of IOCRI from January to December 2019. A total of 10 IOCRI mutant Chrysanthemum genotypes and two introduced varieties (Yellow Fiji and White Fiji) were used in the study using a Randomized Completely Block Design with three replications. The resistance screening method used in this study was the Thrips parvispinus existing in nature or without investment. Observation variables include pest attack intensity, pest attack percentage, percentage of harvestable flowers, and flower diameters. The results showed that the Mayang Ratih IOCRI mutant Chrysanthemum was moderately resistant to T. parvispinus. It has the lowest pest attack intensity, pest attack percentage, and the highest harvestable flowers and flower diameters qualify as Chrysanthemum standard type cut flower. Mayang Ratih genotype can be recommended as T. parvispinus resistance parent for Chrysanthemum cut flower breeding program.

Keywords: attack intensity, Dendrathema grandiflora, flower, pest</p>}, number={1}, journal={Jurnal Hortikultura Indonesia}, author={Musalamah and Budi RahardjoIndijarto and Soehendi, Rudy and Sanjaya, Lia}, year={2021}, month={Apr.}, pages={1-9} }
