This research analyzes the determinant factors of wasting incidents among toddlers in the Pusako Health Center working area, Siak Regency. Quantitative research with a case-control design, this research was conducted on June 5-20 2024. The sampling technique was carried out by total sampling in the wasting group and cluster random sampling in the non-wasting group with a sample size of 49 subjects in each group. Wasting was measured using anthropometric measurements and exclusive breastfeeding, infectious diseases, hygiene, and sanitation were measured using a questionnaire. The analysis consisted of univariate, bivariate using the chi-square test, and multivariate using the logistic regression test. The results of the bivariate analysis show that there was a relationship between exclusive breastfeeding, infectious diseases, hygiene, sanitation, and the incidence of wasting in toddlers. The results of the multivariate analysis showed a relationship between infectious diseases sig.0.000 and hygiene sig.0.001. In conclusion, the determinant factors for wasting among toddlers in the Pusako Health Center working area, Siak Regency were infectious diseases and hygiene. Advice was expected from the community to maintain health, maintain the cleanliness and environment of toddlers, and meet the nutritional needs of toddlers.
2025-03-31T23:03:33+07:00 Copyright (c) 2025 Jurnal Ilmu Gizi dan Dietetik https://journal.ipb.ac.id/index.php/jgizidietetik/article/view/62425 Hubungan antara Konsumsi Ultra-Processed Food dengan Status Gizi: Studi Potong Lintang pada Mahasiswa Kesehatan Masyarakat UIN Jakarta 2025-03-31T23:21:46+07:00 Haziroh Mutawakillah hazirohm@gmail.com Ratna Sari ratnacollege31@gmail.com Nur Afiva nurafivahnb@gmail.com Annisa Thahara caannisa120902@gmail.com Reyna Nurchalizah reynazafira@gmail.com Catur Rosidati catur.rosidati@gmail.com Yustiyani Yustiyani yustiyani@uinjkt.ac.id
The prevalence of obesity in Indonesia continues to increase, including among individuals aged >18 years, with a rise of 1.6% in 2023 compared to 2018. University students are a vulnerable group to nutritional problems due to unhealthy dietary patterns, including the consumption of ultra-processed food (UPF). This study aims to determine the relationship between UPF consumption and nutritional status among students of the Public Health Study Program, Faculty of Health Sciences, UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta, in 2024. This research employs a cross-sectional study design conducted from November to December 2024, with 120 subjects selected using a simple random sampling technique. The UPF consumption variable was measured using a food frequency questionnaire (FFQ), while the nutritional status variable was assessed based on the body mass index (BMI) score calculated from the subjects' height and weight. The analysis used Spearman's correlation test. The average UPF consumption score among subjects was six times per day. A total of 53.2% of subjects stated that access to UPF in their residential area was very easy, and 68.9% of subjects purchased UPF due to its convenience and quick preparation. This study aimed to analyze patient satisfaction with the taste and presentation of food and its relationship with the remaining soft diet food in the non-VIP inpatient room of Ciamis Hospital (RSUD Ciamis). This study used a cross-sectional design with 125 adult patients selected through quota sampling method. Satisfaction data was collected through a questionnaire modified from Hariez, while food waste was calculated using the food weighing method. Chi-Square test analysis. Most patients left little food (70.4%). The highest satisfaction in taste was aroma (87.2%), while the lowest was food temperature (34.4%). Cleanliness of cutlery had the highest satisfaction (99.2%), and timeliness of serving was the lowest (96.8%). There was a significant relationship between satisfaction with taste and food waste (p=0.012), but not with food presentation (p=0.886). The taste of food had a significant effect on patient food waste. This study aims to analyze the relationship between the frequency of junk food consumption and overweight among students at SMA Negeri 1 Kejuruan Muda, controlling for sociodemographic confounding variables. A cross-sectional design was applied, involving 64 students selected through random sampling. Data collection included sociodemographic characteristics, frequency of junk food consumption using the Food Frequency Questionnaire (FFQ), and overweight status measured by Body Mass Index-for-age (BMI/U) using WHO AnthroPlus software. Statistical analysis was conducted using SPSS version 29, with descriptive data presented as mean and standard error for numerical data and frequency and proportion for categorical data. Logistic regression with an etiological framework was used to analyze the association between junk food consumption and overweight. The results revealed a significant association between the frequency of junk food consumption and overweight (p=0.037). Students who consumed junk food more frequently were 3.817 times more likely to be overweight than those with lower consumption frequencies, even after controlling for sociodemographic variables. These findings indicate that frequent junk food consumption is an independent risk factor for overweight among adolescents. It is recommended to implement school-based nutrition education programs to reduce junk food consumption and promote healthier eating habits.
2025-03-31T23:18:14+07:00 Copyright (c) 2025 Jurnal Ilmu Gizi dan Dietetik
