There need efforts to increase land fertility to increase rice production. One way that can be done is utilizing local microorganisms (MOL) to improve the soil quality. Therefore, productivity can be increased. Community development activities were aimed to socialize the use of MOL in increasing rice production. Community development activities were carried out on January 20-April 20, 2020, at the Dadi Rukun farmer group association (Gapoktan), Sukolilo Village, Jiwan District, Madiun, East Java. The method used is to make a demonstration plot (demplot) of rice production using MOL in the residents' rice fields about 3000 m2. The demplot was given with three kinds of treatment, they were organic fertilizer 200 kg ha-1 with MOL application, 50% an-organic fertilizer (75 kg ha-1 NPK dan 75 kg ha-1 urea) with MOL application, and 100% an-organic fertilizer (150 kg ha-1 NPK dan 150 kg ha-1 urea) without MOL application. Each treatment was repeated 3 times. Apart from using the demplot, socialization activities were also carried out by holding meetings between farmers and field extension workers, practitioners from academia and students who carry out fieldwork practices (PKL) in the village. Feedback in the form of farmer responses is given before and after the end of the activity as evaluation material for the success of the program. The experimental results showed that there was no significant difference in the rice production variables in the three treatments. MOL can be used as an alternative to liquid organic fertilizer to support rice production. Community empowerment activities carried out greatly affect changes in knowledge, perspectives, and skills of farmers in making and utilizing MOL to support rice production so that assistance efforts must continue to be improved.</p> Ratih Kemala Dewi, Rika Candra Nur Aini Copyright (c) 2022 Agrokreatif: Jurnal Ilmiah Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat Mon, 28 Mar 2022 10:20:58 +0700 Sosisalisasi Penggunaan Beauveria Bassiana dan Pestisida Nabati untuk Mengendalikan Hama pada Sayuran Hidroponik <p>Vegetable cultivation using a hydroponic system in a green house is growing rapidly in the Ciampel area, Karawang Regency. One of the problems faced by hydroponic vegetable farmers is the attack of leaf-eating pests. The control of pests that attack vegetables has been using chemical pesticides which will pollute the environment and be harmful to human health. The purpose of this community service activity is to provide knowledge and skills in the use of biological agents for the fungus <em>Beauveria bassiana</em> and vegetable pesticides made from papaya leaf extract to control pests on hydroponic vegetables. This activity was carried out in September-November 2020 which was attended by the Women Farmers Group (KWT) in Mulyasari Village, Ciampel, Karawang. Activities are carried out in a structured and gradual manner starting from planning, site surveys, problem identification, technical guidance, mentoring, monitoring, and evaluation. Assistance to farmers has been carried out in approximately three months online and offline together with students from the Faculty of Agriculture, Singaperbangsa Karawang University. The results of the activity showed an increase in understanding about the dangers of using chemical pesticides on vegetables and the importance of pest control based on Biointensive Integrated Pest Management (IPM-Biointensive) using biological agents and botanical pesticides. In addition, the participants who took part in this activity were skilled at producing the biological agent <em>Beauveria bassiana</em> and vegetable pesticides with active papaya leaf juice. Farmers become more skilled at monitoring pests in the green house/field to monitor the presence or absence of pests in their crops. In addition, farmers have become more skilled in mass propagation of <em>B. bassiana</em> biological agents and vegetable pesticides. Mass propagation technique of <em>B. bassiana</em> uses alternative media, namely from feed corn.</p> Lutfi Afifah, Nurcahyo Widyodaru Saputro, Ultach Enri Copyright (c) 2022 Agrokreatif: Jurnal Ilmiah Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat Mon, 28 Mar 2022 10:29:12 +0700 Peningkatan Kualitas Penanganan Pascapanen Kopi di Gapoktan Sejahtera Umbulharjo, Cangkringan, Sleman, Yogyakarta <p>The coffee farmers of Farmer Union (Gapoktan) Sejahtera Umbulharjo had a lack of knowledge of good coffee post-harvest handling such as the best harvesting time, fermentation, drying, roasting green been extracting, and packaging roasted coffee need to be improved through extension and training postharvest handing.
