The agroforestry community forest developed by many people in rural areas, even though it is not a labor-intensive activity, is still capable of absorbing labor, either directly from the farming business or through activities that appear as a trickle-down effect of the agroforestry farming business. The study, which was carried out in three locations, namely Burno Village in Lumajang Regency, Karyasari Village and Karcak Village in Bogor Regency, aims to calculate labor absorption from agroforestry community forestry businesses and related businesses from upstream to downstream (wood plant seed suppliers, wood intermediary traders and the sawmill industry) per hectare of forest and analyzing its possible contribution to reducing unemployment. The study results show that agroforestry community forest can absorb labor of 2.28 people per hectare in Burno Village, 2.08 people per hectare in Karcak Village and 1.93 people per hectare in Karyasari Village. With the results of these calculations, if agroforestry development is carried out on half the area (50%) of the abandoned land in Lumajang Regency which reaches around 12,000 ha, it will be possible to reduce the number of open unemployed by around 45%.&nbsp;</em></p> 2024-06-21T14:43:48+07:00 Copyright (c) 2024 Leti Sundawati, Guntur Prabowo, Taufiqurrakhman Maulana, Dwi Putri Azharini https://journal.ipb.ac.id/index.php/forestrindo-journal/article/view/56230 PEMASARAN HASIL USAHA PERHUTANAN SOSIAL (Studi Kasus Hutan Kemasyarakatan Solok Radjo, Nagari Aie Dingin, Kabupaten Solok, Sumatera Barat) 2024-06-22T21:27:17+07:00 Soni Trison soni_trison@apps.ipb.ac.id Imam Mujaddid soni_trison@apps.ipb.ac.id Iin Ichwandi soni_trison@apps.ipb.ac.id Tsanie Ditya Kurnia soni_trison@apps.ipb.ac.id Afda Refani refaniafda17@gmail.com <p><em>The formation of social forestry business groups that are evolving within the social forestry program is expected to enhance the business capacity for the well-being of farmers. The management of HKm Solok Radjo is carried out on forest products collected from the forest and cultivated plants on the HKm cultivation land. Agroforestry planting patterns are only found in coffee plants combined with Leucaena. The management carried out by farmers includes land preparation, seed procurement, planting, maintenance, harvesting, and marketing. Efficient marketing channels are characterized by shorter marketing chains, lower marketing margins, a higher farmer's share, and an evenly distributed profit-to-cost ratio. Therefore, farmers need to sell their agricultural products directly to consumers and process their products to add value.</em></p> <p>&nbsp;</p> 2024-06-21T14:57:00+07:00 Copyright (c) 2024 Soni Trison, Imam Mujaddid, Iin Ichwandi, Tsanie Ditya Kurnia, Afda Refani https://journal.ipb.ac.id/index.php/forestrindo-journal/article/view/55847 STRATEGI PENGUATAN PARTISIPASI MASYARAKAT DALAM PENGEMBANGAN EKOWISATA SITU GUNUNG DI TAMAN NASIONAL GUNUNG GEDE PANGRANGO 2024-06-22T21:27:18+07:00 Leti Sundawati qoripebrial@apps.ipb.ac.id Qori Pebrial Ilham qoripebrial@apps.ipb.ac.id Rohim qoripebrial@apps.ipb.ac.id Isnaeni Solikhah qoripebrial@apps.ipb.ac.id Shinta Khavita Devi qoripebrial@apps.ipb.ac.id Nisrina Hasna Salsabila qoripebrial@apps.ipb.ac.id <p><em>Community participation is a crucial component in the management of ecotourism. Like most agroforestry farmers in Indonesia, agroforestry in KTH is not optimal, due to a lack of market access, expertise, and capital. To create good marketing, KTH needs a marketing strategy that can be implemented with the marketing mix concept. This research aims to identify the relationship of the marketing mix to the sales as well as formulate marketing strategies to improve marketing performance. The data was collected through a census of all farmers, using interview and observation. Research data analysis utilizes qualitative descriptive, and SWOT matrix for marketing strategy. The research results show the four marketing mixes applied in the sales process of agroforestry products by farmers at KTH Satria Mandiri. The type of product meets market demand; the selling price is reasonable; it's not necessary for special product distribution and promotion by each farmer. The marketing strategy recommended in the short term is the S-O strategy, and in the long term is the W-O strategy. Increasing production, competitive prices, effective promotions, and a wide marketing network, including the marketplace, can potentially increase product sales.</em></p> 2024-06-21T00:00:00+07:00 Copyright (c) 2024 Bahruni, Lichintya Maharani Haino https://journal.ipb.ac.id/index.php/forestrindo-journal/article/view/56771 MODEL PENDUGA BIOMASSA UNTUK TEGAKAN REHABILITASI DI HUTAN PENDIDIKAN GUNUNG WALAT 2024-06-28T20:57:28+07:00 Andani Jamilah Mardhotillah tangtir@apps.ipb.ac.id Tatang Tiryana tangtir@apps.ipb.ac.id Teddy Rusolono tangtir@apps.ipb.ac.id Muhdin tangtir@apps.ipb.ac.id <p><em>Forest rehabilitation plays an important role in increasing forest biomass and carbon stocks. However, there are limited studies that provide information on biomass growth of rehabilitates areas. This study aimed at developing stand biomass growth models for rehabilitated areas in Gunung Walat University Forest. The biomass data of Pinus merkusii stands were obtained by establishing and measuring 115 sample plots in various stand ages by applying the stratified systematic sampling method. The stand biomass growth models were developed by using regression analysis with independent variables consisting of age, diameter, height, basal area, and stand density. The results showed that the stand biomass of Pinus merkusii could be best estimated by stand age (A, year) and basal area (G, m2/ha) using the equation of W = 1,77A0,21G1,12 (R2adj = 99,27% and RMSE = 2,05 ton/ha). When the stand basal area data would not be available, the stand biomass could also be estimated using the equation of W = 0,06A-0,52D2,68 or W = 0,00057A2,37N1,25, which use the stand diameter (D, cm) and stand density (N, trees/ha) in addition to the stand age. These models are useful for the forest manager in estimating and monitoring the stand biomass growth of rehabiltated stands in Gunung Walat University Forest</em></p> 2024-06-28T00:00:00+07:00 Copyright (c) 2024 Andani Jamilah Mardhotillah, Tatang Tiryana, Teddy Rusolono, Muhdin
