Journal of Consumer Sciences (JCS) is a biannually e-journal that provides articles on consumer and family economics issues. It publishes quantitative and qualitative research and encourages manuscripts in various types including research articles, intervention articles, and review articles.


Journal of Consumer Sciences (JCS), published since 2016 by the Department of Family and Consumer Sciences, Faculty of Human Ecology, IPB University. JCS also collaborates with Indonesia Alumni Association (ASIKKI) and Asian Association for Consumer Interest and Marketing (AACIM).  The time of publication of the Journal of Consumer Scieces (JCS) is 2 times a year on February and August.


Journal of Consumer Sciences (JCS) as been re-accredited from the Directorate General of Higher Education (DIKTI) through the Decree of Directorate General of Higher Education No. 85/M/KPT/2020 and also  indexed in Science and Technology Index 3 (SINTA 3, SINTA is Indonesian Government official indexing body).


Journal of Consumer Sciences (JCS) focuses on the studies of consumer behavior and family economics, including the fields of, but not limited to, finance, consumer attitudes and preferences, consumer behavior and decision making, family financial management, marketing, management, and other related topics.
